As I reflect on the Hodges family beach session I can’t help but feel the love of what family is. These little boys enjoy each other and will go through the journey of life together. I imagine fort nights, hunting, fishing and plenty of baseball. Although as moms and dads we sometimes wonder when these littles will be more self sufficient, these times are the ones that are full of memories. Ahh, what a blessing! Is there any better place to make memories than the coast?
The Hodges are such an easy family to photograph. This is our second family session together, and they are just a laid back group:) Our sessions are always filled with great conversation. There is always such an authenticity in the gallery photographs for the Hodges. The culling process isn’t hard for this family, as there are so many great images to choose from! There just isn’t that much direction on my part.
I often enter sessions thinking about what images I’d want in my gallery as a mom, dad or sibling. It happens to be easier to photograph this age group for me, because I have one of my own. Posing for this age is quick, and most of these galleries at this age are portraits of the boys playing, laughing and loving. I always strive to give my clients a gallery that they can reflect on through the years. And, if I’m lucky the images are chosen down the road for school projects, graduation videos, or even marriage reception slideshows. I love what I do, and this gallery is a wonderful reflection of the emotional attachment I experience with each of my families. Enjoy!!
